UPDATE, 6:04 p.m. Monday: Hwy. 1 reopens/clear in Chilliwack, 1 patient transported

UPDATE 6:04 P.M. MONDAY: DriveBC is now reporting that westbound Highway is fully open and clear from the accident. Motorists should still expect traffic/congestion/delays.

According to CityNews Vancouver, one person was transported to hospital in stable condition following the motor vehicle incident.

Original story from 4:54 p.m. Monday:

CHILLIWACK — DriveBC is reporting at 4:44 p.m. Monday afternoon that westbound Highway 1 in Chilliwack is blocked due to a vehicle incident at Yale Road (exit 109).

DriveBC said one lane of eastbound traffic was blocked, but it has since reopened as of 5 p.m.

Several fire engines are on scene of the crash. An ambulance has also been reportedly dispatched to the scene.
