
Highway 1 accident in the Fraser Valley sends 1 to hospital: BC Highway Patrol
FRASER VALLEY — BC Highway Patrol says it is currently investigating a collision on Highway 1 involving a tractor-trailer and sedan that sent one person to hospital.
According to a statement from BC Highway Patrol spokesperson Corporal Michael McLaughlin, the collision happened Monday morning at 11:15 a.m. and involved a tractor-trailer and a sedan. The driver of the sedan has been taken to hospital with what appear to be minor injuries, he said.
Cpl. McLaughlin says road users should expect delays in the area until all the evidence has been gathered and the roadway is safe for travel. Motorists are asked to be alert and obey the direction of police and traffic control personnel at the scene. At 12:41 p.m., Cpl. McLaughlin said the highway has reopened.
Highway cameras are currently unavailable for westbound 264 Street. The nearest cameras to 264 Street westbound show heavy w/b traffic at Mt. Lehman Road. As of 12:39 p.m., Google Maps traffic also shows dark red, or heavy traffic, between Mt. Lehman Road and 264 Street in Langley.
