Want to own a ski hill? The Newfoundland and Labrador government has one for sale
ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — The Newfoundland and Labrador government is once again trying to off-load its ski resort.
The province has published a request for proposals to purchase its Marble Mountain Ski Resort in western Newfoundland.
A government report in 2021 says the Crown corporation operating the resort has long been losing money, costing the province about $2 million a year.
The report urged the province to sell the facility, saying the government does not have the expertise to run a ski hill.
