Snowfall warning in effect across Fraser Valley Sunday

CHILLIWACK — Winter is in full swing at the Fraser Valley.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning Sunday afternoon (Feb. 2) in the east, central and west regions from Hope to Abbotsford.

Residents can expect to see heavy snowfall between 10 to 15 centimetres tonight through Monday morning, though some areas may receive as little as 5 centimetres.

The climate agency said the highest amounts will be along a band of snow blowing across the valley tonight.

Drivers are asked to plan their trips accordingly, as intense flurries with reduced visibility and heavy snow may occur in more localized parts.
