
Hundreds of B.C. residents hit by power outages
BURNABY — BC Hydro is looking to bring power back to several communities in the Lower Mainland.
In a social media post this morning (Jan. 31), the operator said 840 customers in Burnaby lost power due to a cable fault that started at 2 a.m. The outage perimeter runs from east of Mandeville Avenue, west of 9th Avenue, south of Rumble Street, and north of North Fraser Way. No crew has been assigned to this area as of writing.

A crew is on-site to restore power in Vancouver after a motor vehicle accident started an outage at around 8:30 a.m. today. Roughly 292 customers are affected. That outage runs from south of Adanac Street, east of Renfrew Street, west of Lillooet Street, and north of Charles Street.
