HOPE — Staff from the University of the Fraser Valley say they are looking to solicit feedback from Hope residents about programs and services they would like to see offered at UFV’s Hope Centre campus.

To that end, UFV will hold a pair of sessions in early February to gather valuable input from the community on what they’d like to see offered at the campus in Hope.

The Community Conversation event, as it’s called, happens Tuesday, February 4 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at 1250 7th Avenue in Hope. The sessions will include snacks and cookies and provide a warm and welcoming environment for all residents to share and engage in neighbours’ thoughts and ideas.

The Hope Centre will also be open for drop-in and individual conversations on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If residents can’t attend an in-person session, they are welcome to complete this survey.

“UFV believes in the importance of building strong relationships and connecting in person to ensure everyone feels heard and valued,” the university wrote in a statement. “The community’s feedback is crucial and will help shape future offerings at the Hope Centre. Working together to create the necessary programs and services that truly meet the needs of the Hope community, and its surrounding areas is of top priority.”
