Multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 1 in Langley sends 2 to hospital Thursday morning

LANGLEY — A spokesperson for the B.C. Highway Patrol says a vehicle crash on Highway 1 in Langley Thursday morning involved four vehicles and sent two people to hospital.

According to BCHP spokesperson Corporal Michael McLaughlin, the vehicle incident partially shut down eastbound traffic on Highway #1 near 200 Street. The collision occurred at 6:20 a.m. Thursday morning (Jan. 30).

Four vehicles were involved and two people have been taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, Cpl. McLaughlin said.

Pictures shared by a Fraser Valley commuter show emergency vehicles on scene near a heavily damaged four-door sedan whose air bag had deployed. The vehicle was positioned sideways against a concrete barrier after the crash. Another picture shared by this same Fraser Valley commuter depicted a cube truck or other type of smaller commercial truck that had overturned and was significantly damaged in the same area as the four-door sedan.
