Two sent to hospital in overnight collision along Highway 11 in Abbotsford
ABBOTSFORD — A 32-year-old man was arrested early Friday (Jan. 24) morning after fleeing a traffic stop and causing a head-on collision on Highway 11.
Abbotsford police attempted to stop a Mustang in the Mission area at approximately 12:30 a.m. for a Motor Vehicle Act violation. The driver failed to comply, fleeing southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 11, police said.
The suspect’s vehicle collided head-on with a civilian vehicle traveling northbound. Emergency responders transported the civilian driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and taken into custody at the scene.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service was called to investigate the crash.
