Mission Fire gives away free smoke alarms in latest campaign
MISSION — More than 1,100 homes in Mission can now receive a free smoke alarm from the Mission Fire Rescue Service after an announcement on Thursday (Jan. 23).
“Safety is one of our key strategic priorities and we are looking to address it at every level, but prevention is one of our most important priorities,” said Mayor Paul Horn in a release. “There’s no question that smoke detectors are one of the simplest ways to keep your family safe so we hope that people will take advantage of this program.”
Community members are encouraged to get a smoke alarm if they live in a:
- Detached home
- Mobile home
- Townhouse
- Duplex, triplex, or fourplex
