Mission man faces charges in connection to November Hatzic burglary
MISSION — A Mission man is facing charges in connection to a November break-and-enter where over a dozen firearms and other valuables were allegedly stolen from a Hatzic residence.
Clayton Pierce, 32, was arrested on January 7 following a break and enter in progress at a farm property near No. 3 Road in Abbotsford. Officers from the Abbotsford Police Department, Upper Fraser Valley Regional RCMP, and Mission RCMP apprehended Pierce and another man after they attempted to flee in a black Dodge Grand Caravan. Both were charged in connection to the Abbotsford incident.
Mission RCMP announced that Pierce is also charged with breaking and entering related to the November 14, 2024, burglary in Hatzic. Investigators say the firearms allegedly stolen during the Hatzic break-in remain unrecovered, and other suspects are still at large.
Pierce remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing on January 15 in Abbotsford Provincial Court.
