CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Visual Artists Association (CVAA) and O’Connor Group Art Gallery are set to open 2025 with Iterations: Explorations in Cloth and Clay. It’s a joint exhibition featuring the works of artists Ted Driediger and Lois Klassen. The show runs from January 2 to February 1.

According to a news release from the CVAA, the exhibition examines the artistic process of theme and variation, inviting viewers to explore the evolution of ideas in visual art. Driediger and Klassen use distinct materials, clay and cloth, to create works that highlight contrast and harmony.

Driediger’s sculptural clay pieces explore themes of community and shelter, presenting village inspired designs that highlight interconnectedness through shape and volume. Meanwhile, Klassen’s textile works delve into topics of social justice, grief, and nostalgia, drawing from the traditions of domestic arts.
