Woman arrested after kicking, spitting on police officer: Mission RCMP
MISSION — Mission RCMP members are recommending charges of assault and assaulting a police officer after an incident in which a woman allegedly spit on a peace officer and kicked an RCMP member.
According to information from the Mission RCMP Detachment, a woman sought help from a police officer on Lougheed Highway near Haig Street shortly after midnight on Sunday, December 15. The woman told police she had been reportedly assaulted by another woman minutes earlier. The victim was in the parking lot of a nearby fast food restaurant when the offender, who is not known to the victim, approached her, pulled her hair and bit her head.
While the RCMP member was gathering the information, the female victim saw the offender nearby. Officers arrested the woman for assault, which led the woman to spit on the officer, and later kick the officer as well.
Police are recommending charges of assault and assaulting a police officer against the woman.
