MISSION – Mission RCMP are seeking a suspect responsible for a string of vehicle vandalism incidents that occurred early Wednesday morning.

Police released a photo on Saturday captured by CCTV footage from Nov. 27 of a suspect believed to be linked to eight separate reports of vehicle damage.

The majority of incidents took place between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. in the area between Cade Barr Street and Topper Drive. Additional cases were reported near the intersection of 10th Avenue and Cedar Street, and on Silverdale Avenue.

“After reviewing CCTV footage and identifying similarities between the incidents, investigators believe the same individual is responsible for all the mischief,” said a Mission RCMP spokesperson.

“In some cases, the suspect attempted to open vehicle doors, while in others, they smashed windows or tampered with ignitions. No vehicles were reported stolen.”

In one instance, the suspect entered an unlocked residence. A witness described the individual as smelling strongly of alcohol and appearing unsteady on their feet.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation is urged to contact the Mission RCMP non-emergency line at 604-826-7161.
