CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack residents with outstanding parking tickets can pay their fines with a touch of holiday cheer. The City of Chilliwack says it will accept toy and gift card donations as payment for tickets as part of its annual collaboration with the Chilliwack Community Services Toy Drive.

Eligible tickets include city-issued parking fines with ticket numbers beginning with “PX” or “PO” and issued between July 15 and December 13, 2024. Donations must meet or exceed the ticket’s value after taxes.

Toys must be new, unwrapped, and in their original packaging. Alternatively, gift cards of equal or greater value are also accepted. A purchase receipt is required for all donations to ensure compliance.

Residents can drop off their donations at City Hall during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The program runs through December 13, providing a creative way to resolve fines while supporting local families in need.
