Tourism Abbotsford shares list of popular spots holiday filmmakers are drawn to

ABBOTSFORD – With holiday movies set to delight viewers in the coming month, fans of these festive films can visit spots across the Fraser Valley that have hosted filmmakers.

Tourism Abbotsford has made it easy for enthusiasts with a “Countdown to Christmas Films” list, which maps sites across the Fraser Valley used by moviemakers for cozy backdrops.

Lacey Chabert, Alison Sweeney, Brandon Routh, and Jordin Sparks are just some of the celebrity actors connected with recent productions shot in the area.

“With its romantic settings, picturesque streets, and a welcoming community that embodies the spirit of the season, Abbotsford has all the makings of a classic holiday film destination,” Tourism Abbotsford stated in a press release.

The list includes:

  • “A Christmas Treasure” starring Jordin Sparks – Location used: Spruce Collective on Montrose Avenue
  • “Family for Christmas” starring Lacy Chabert – Location used: La Reina restaurant on Montrose Avenue
  • “A Magical Christmas Village” starring Alison Sweeney – Location used: Lepp’s Bakehouse & Deli on West Railway Street.
  • “The Nine Kittens Of Christmas” starring Brandon Routh – Location used: Oldhand Coffee on Pauline Street and Tracycakes Bakery Cafe on Montrose Avenue.
