Silver Skagit Road closed for six months, flood repairs to resume in Spring 2025
HOPE – The province has once again closed a portion of Silver Skagit Road, located south of Hope, for the next six months.
BC’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure said the shutdown is “seasonal” and that work to repair flood-damaged sites, linked to flooding in late 2021, will resume in April 2025.
“Construction is underway along the route and will continue through the 2024 and 2025 construction seasons to repair the remaining 13 flood-damaged sites,” the province said in a statement.
“Silver Lake Campground and Silver Lake Provincial Park are closed to the public for a seasonal shutdown until May 1, 2025.”
