HARRISON — A GoFundMe has been created to support the family of a 44-year-old man who went missing after a fishing trip north of Agassiz.

According to the text of an online financial appeal from Silvia J., the GoFund Me has been created by the teammates and parents of the U14 BCSPL Intake team at Coquitlam Metro Ford to help the Bradley Werbowski family as they navigate a very difficult time in their lives. The Werbowski’s son is part of a soccer community in the Lower Mainland.

On Sunday, November 10, Werbowski and his friend went fishing on the Chehalis River near Morris Valley Road. He failed to return to his car that evening. Search and rescue personnel have been engaged but efforts to locate Werbowski have been unsuccessful, the GoFundMe stated.

The GoFundMe says all donated funds will go to Werbowski’s wife and two kids to “help them through this extremely difficult time and to continue all search efforts.”

As of Sunday night at 9:30 p.m., over $3,500 had been raised for Werbowski from 25 donations, toward a goal of $50,000.

According to a statement from Agassiz RCMP Sgt. Andy Lot, Werbowski had gone fishing with a friend on the Chehalis River near Morris Valley Road. He was reported missing to Agassiz RCMP on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. when he did not return to his vehicle. Search and Rescue crews were engaged, however, all efforts to locate Bradly have been unsuccessful, Sgt. Lot said. As a result, authorities are appealing to the public to advance the investigation.

Werbowski is described as the following:

  • Caucasian male
  • 5’ 8’ (173 cm)
  • 200 lbs (92 kg)
  • Blonde hair
  • Blue eyes
  • Last seen wearing hip waders, hat, and glasses

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Werbowski is urged to contact their local police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
