Nov 17, 2024 | 7:08 AM

HOPE – Environment Canada upgraded a previous highway alert to a warning Sunday morning for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt due to expectations of heavy snow.

Canada’s weather agency says another 10 to 15 cm will add to a similar amount that fell on Saturday, which will likely reduce visibility on Highway 5 through Sunday night.

Mountain passes are expected to see the highest accumulations, while flurries will persist through Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, most of the Fraser Valley is expected to experience clouds and showers until Thursday, with highs averaging around 6°C during the first few days of the week.
