CHILLIWACK — Since its formation over a decade ago, Voice of Hope has worked to leverage its Chilliwack connections to enhance the quality of life for indigent widows and orphans in Kenya.

Teams of Chilliwack-area volunteers visit Kenya on a regular basis to provide tangible assistance to vulnerable women and children by facilitating opportunities for them to have better everyday lives and self sustainability.

To that end, Voice of Hope will hold a Christmas craft sale and collector/hobby market this weekend to support their humanitarian efforts.

The non-profit group says it is excited to have received a sizeable donation from an estate filled with many awesome items like Christmas decorations, crafts, collector and hobby items. The community is invited to browse and purchase some new specialty items just in time for Christmas decorating.

The Christmas craft sale and collector/hobby market happens Friday, Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Free Reformed Church of Chilliwack, 45471 Yale Road, next to Service BC.

All funds raised will go directly to Voice of Hope projects in Kenya supporting widows and orphans in need.
