The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce that they have signed a goaltender and a defensemen.
Kevin Jones, a 2005-born native of South Lyon, Michigan comes to the Chiefs after beginning the season with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL. Last season Jones was the starting net minder for the Pembroke Lumber Kings in the CCHL where he put up impressive numbers both in the regular season and playoffs with a save % well above .900 in both seasons.
“We are really happy to add Kevin to our group. Obviously we are thrilled with what we have seen so far from Sebastian Gatto and feel like Kevin gives us another really solid goaltender to round out our goaltending for the remainder of the season.” Said Chiefs HC/GM Brian Maloney.
The Chiefs have also landed defender Brandon Osborne, from nearby Maple Ridge, BC. Brandon has extensive junior experience going back to the 2022 season where he suited up for his hometown Ridge Meadows Flames. The past two seasons the 6’1 left-shot defender spent time with the Calgary Hitmen and the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL.
“Brandon is a player with extensive junior experience that will be able to step in and contribute to our defence right away.” Said Maloney before adding “We look forward to getting him in the lineup this weekend and are happy we were able to add him to our roster at this time.”
Welcome to Chilliwack, Kevin & Brandon!
