According to a news release from SD33, Dhanjal will step into the role starting next week Wednesday, November 20.

SD33 says Dhanjal is expected to assume a critical role in instituting and executing communication strategies in support of the Board of Education’s strategic plan and facilitate the understanding and the achievement of the District’s priorities, goals, and objectives. She’ll be tasked with enhancing communication, clarity, and engagement with parents, guardians, staff, First Nations, Inuit, Métis, partner groups, and the broader Chilliwack community.

SD33 says Dhanjal has over a decade of experience in communications and public relations and extensive expertise spanning multiple sectors, including information services, agriculture, sports, and non-profit.

“Throughout her career, Amy has developed and implemented impactful communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences,” SD33 said. “Amy’s creative, and inspirational approach to communication makes her a valuable addition to our team. Known for her energetic and clear style, she is committed to delivering accessible and plain language communication that resonates with and engages all partner groups.”

Dhanjal’s previous experience features strategic counsel for organizations such as Prince George Public Library, B.C. Agriculture Council, and her current role as senior communications lead for Monogram Communications. The district believes her work is rooted in research, active listening, and measurable outcomes, ensuring her communication strategies drive tangible results.

“We look forward to welcoming Amy to our team as the District’s Communication Manager,” said SD33 Superintendent of Schools Rohan Arul-pragasam. “Amy is strategic and an inspiring leader adept at managing complex priorities and delivering impactful results. She will continue to support the creation of a rich District culture where students and adults will continue to thrive. We look forward to the innovative contributions Amy will bring to the Chilliwack School District, enhancing our ability to communicate effectively and authentically with our community.”

Dhanjal holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria, an Associate Certificate with Honors in Marketing Management from BCIT, and a Business Administration Micro-credential from Royal Roads University.

“Her strong academic background and extensive expertise make her an invaluable addition to the Chilliwack School District’s leadership team,” SD33 said. “In her role, Ms. Dhanjal will play a crucial part in communicating the Board of Education’s revised strategic plan with clarity and focus, while fostering a culture that prioritizes the well-being and success of students and staff, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and community engagement.”
