Collision on Highway 1 near Yale Road in Chilliwack sends 2 people to hospital

CHILLIWACK – The left westbound lane on Highway 1 near Yale Road in Chilliwack was closed Friday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash near an off-ramp, according to DriveBC.

Both Chilliwack Fire and paramedics were dispatched to the scene around 3 p.m.

A spokesperson from BC Emergency Health Services says paramedics gave “emergency medical treatment” to two people on scene before rushing them to hospital.

The collision is the second on the roadway Friday after an incident near Annis Road closed lanes in both directions early morning, according to B.C.’s Ministry of Transportation.
