Man reported missing along B.C.’s Coquitlam River during atmospheric river found dead: RCMP
COQUITLAM – RCMP say a 59-year-old man who went missing while walking along the Coquitlam River last weekend has been found dead.
Robert Belding disappeared Sunday after Coquitlam was hit hard by an atmospheric river weather system that rolled over southern B.C., bringing more than 250 millimetres of rain between Friday and Sunday.
“We would like to thank all personnel who took part in the search efforts over the past few days,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Alexa Hodgins said.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends as they grieve the loss of their loved one.”
