Prince Caspian from the Narnia Series Set for Gallery 7 Stage in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — One of the legendary fantasy novels from The Chronicles of Narnia series is set to hit the Gallery 7 Theatre this fall.

Prince Caspian, written by noted novelist C.S. Lewis, starts a run at the Abbotsford Arts Centre in November with live, original music composed by Liam Whatley.

“Our production, at least to my knowledge, is the first to be presented following the premiere of the play at the Shaw Festival in 2023,” Gallery 7 managing artistic director Ken Hildebrandt explained.

“We’re always on the lookout for the latest and greatest shows to bring to the community that not only fit our mandate, but also provide audiences with an exciting, fresh, and engaging theatre experience.”

Prince Caspian was the second of Lewis’s novels from a series of seven released in 1951 as a follow-up to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

It features the Pevensie children, who are magically transported back to the fantastical world of Narnia, over a thousand years since their last visit.

The shows are on November 8th and 9th, and then continue with performances from November 12th to 16th, all starting at 7:30 p.m.

Matinees are scheduled for November 9th, 16th, and 17th at 2 p.m. at the Arts Centre on Crescent Way, Abbotsford.
