Southbound lane on Yale Road to close for completion of multi-use path in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — A portion of the southbound lane of Yale Road between Parr and Airport Roads in Chilliwack will be closed to traffic starting Monday to complete the construction of a multi-use pathway.
The city says that “curb preparation” work will take place between Oct. 21 and 25 and, weather permitting, should be completed by next Friday.
“Most of the work will occur on the shoulder, but in rare instances, lane closures may be necessary to safely complete the work,” the city said in a release.
The 170-metre pathway is expected to provide “a key pedestrian connection” between Sardis and downtown Chilliwack, according to the city.
