MISSION – Four vital signs machines highlight a $35,000 donation to Mission Memorial Hospital.

The equipment, donated by the Mission Health Care Auxiliary Society, is expected to be deployed across several departments, aiding in everything from routine check-ups to critical care.

Vital signs machines, which currently cost about $5,000 each, detect and monitor medical problems by measuring body temperature, pulse, respiration rates, and blood pressure.

O2 tank stands to support the monitors, as well as a $9,600 vein finder, eight walkers, and a syringe pump, were also included in the donation.

“We are incredibly grateful for the Auxiliary’s unwavering support,” Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation executive director Elizabeth Harris said.

“Their contributions are invaluable and will directly impact the quality of care we can provide to our community.”

The Mission Health Care Auxiliary Society specifically supports Mission Memorial Hospital by providing services and comforts for the patients in the facility.
