Driver suffers just ‘minor injuries’ after dramatic crash into Maple Ridge backyard: RCMP
MAPLE RIDGE – Collision reconstruction investigators have determined that alcohol was not a factor after an SUV flew into the backyard of a Maple Ridge home early Friday afternoon.
RCMP spokesperson, Cpl. Brett Urano, said the vehicle “somehow rolled onto its roof” and came to rest in a residential backyard in the 14000 block of Mier Drive, just off 232 Street in the city’s north end.
“Fortunately, no one was injured in any of the residential backyards,” Urano said. “The driver of the vehicle did suffer minor injuries and was taken to hospital.”
The incident was captured on video and shared across several social media outlets over the past 24 hours.
