ABBOTSFORD – The agency that raises awareness and funds for local healthcare in the Fraser Valley says it has a new executive to enhance philanthropic strategies.

The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) has appointed Sarah De Klein as the new director of philanthropy and says her experience with fundraising should elevate efforts to secure financing for its mission.

“This position marks a significant step in the organization’s growth, as we continue to strengthen our capacity to support healthcare services in the Fraser Valley,” FVHCF executive director Elizabeth Harris said.

De Klein’s resume includes a marketing manager and business administrator role at Global Airparts. She is also the founder of Aisleaway.com and holds a Master’s degree in Business, Management, and Marketing from the University College Dublin.

Certified by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, De Klein is expected to craft new strategies for acquiring major gifts for the foundation.

The FVHCF supports local hospitals, facilities, and programs run by Fraser Health Authority in Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Hope, Agassiz, and Harrison Hot Springs.
