Candidates from Chilliwack ridings to appear at Cultural Centre forum ahead of BC election

CHILLIWACK – Six provincial candidates from two Chilliwack ridings are set to face a public audience at the Cultural Centre on Thursday.

The Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association are hosting the All Candidates Forum on Oct. 10, which will feature politicians vying for Chilliwack North and Chilliwack-Cultus Lake.

The NDP’s Dan Coulter, the Green Party’s Tim Cooper, independent Dan Grice, and Conservative Heather Maahs are expected to field questions amid campaigns in Chilliwack North.

The two candidates vying for Chilliwack-Cultus Lake, the Conservatives’ A’aliya Warbus and NDP candidate Kelli Paddon, are also scheduled to appear.

The gathering, hosted by political strategist Rachael Segal, comes just days ahead of the general election on Oct. 19.

The event at the HUB Theatre on Corbould Street runs on Oct. 10 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Admission is free, but registration with the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce is required.
