City of Chilliwack staff aware of visual blight at Tyson Road residence, planning next steps
CHILLIWACK — A home on Tyson Road close to the Sardis Sports Complex where visual blight continues to ebb and flow over the span of several months has generated bylaw complaints to the City of Chilliwack.
According to an email obtained and reviewed by Fraser Valley Today Thursday morning, city staff say they are “very aware” of the Tyson Road home and intend to pursue regulatory action against it.
“We are very aware of this property and are taking enforcement action,” a city staff member wrote in an email Thursday morning to a Chilliwack resident, who shared the email with Fraser Valley Today.
The home on Tyson Road had a white tarp draped across the front lawn Thursday morning, accompanied by black garbage bags and other personal effects. A middle-aged man can sometimes be seen loading and unloading personal effects on and off a mobile metal rack in the front yard of the property facing Tyson Road.
