CHILLIWACK — An Indian restaurant chain with four locations across British Columbia has announced the opening of its Chilliwack location in the former site of Paliotti’s Italian Restaurant & Bar.

Dosa Club Indian Kitchen & Bar, an establishment selling appies, street treats, and goat, lamb and chicken entrees among its extensive menu, will officially open Wednesday, Sept. 25 for take-out. It plans to open its restaurant soon for in-person dining at 45850 Yale Road, near discount supermarket FreshCo.

Dosa Club’s restaurant chain comprises locations in Surrey, Abbotsford and Prince George. It operates as Dosa Club Indian Kitchen in Abbotsford, Dhaba Dosa and Panorama Indian Lounge in Surrey, and Madras Maple Cafe in Prince George. It bills itself as a home for delectable cuisine in a cozy ambiance where patrons experience culinary memories.

“At Dosa Club, our focus revolves around serving delectable cuisine, offering friendly service, and creating a cozy ambiance,” Dosa Club wrote online. “Embracing authenticity and using locally procured ingredients guarantees that each item on our menu is thoughtfully prepared and bursting with taste. More than just an eatery, we’re your go-to spot for an enjoyable dining adventure. Step inside, be a part of our community, and let’s craft some wonderful culinary memories together!”

Appetizers range from $9.99 each for veggie pakoras to $17.99 for kerala beef pepper fry, defined as tender beef pieces cooked in South Asian-style masala with coconut and peppercorn. Tandoori menu offerings have a price point of $15.99 to $21.99, consisting of specialties like tandoori chicken, malai chicken tikka and a chicken platter containing flavorful chicken kebabs. There’s also biryani, seafood entrees, vegetable entrees and Indian desserts.

While their Chilliwack hours have yet to be announced, their Abbotsford location at 1355 Sumas Way is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Wednesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
