Distillery and Beer Festival returns to Chilliwack in September

Aug 31, 2024 | 6:00 AM

CHILLIWACK — Mark down September 21 on your calendar to attend the annual Fraser Valley Distillery and Beer Festival. The night at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre will showcase B.C. spirits and craft beers while offering samples of delicious foods from local restaurants.

Catering will be provided by Lakeside Beach Club, featuring its popular “Two-Buck-a-Shuck” Oyster Bar, which is returning by popular demand.

Festival-goers will also have the chance to meet some of the makers behind their favorite beverages, learning about the distillation and brewing processes while enjoying a wide array of samples. Live performances from The Valley Babes should help to provide a lively and festive atmosphere throughout the evening.

Adding to the fun, organizers are encouraging guests to embrace the secret agent theme. Attendees are invited to dress as a character from their favourite spy movie, with the best costume winning tickets to the 2025 festival.

For those looking to take home a unique souvenir, a silent auction will also be held, offering a variety of items up for bid.

“We’re excited to bring this celebration back to The Centre for the seventh year,” says Pam Goodvin, Co-Executive Director of the Academy of Music. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience the rich and diverse flavours our regions have to offer, and we look forward to welcoming everyone for an evening of fun and discovery!”

Funds raised at the event will support the Chilliwack Academy of Music.

Tickets are available for $100 and can be purchased at the Centre Box Office, online at www.chilliwackculturalcentre.ca, or by calling 604-391-SHOW (7469).
