Chipotle Mexican Grill coming to Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — An international food chain specializing in Mexican cuisine with over 3,500 restaurants spanning six countries is coming to Chilliwack.

A spokesperson for California-based Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc., Annie Gradinger, has confirmed to Fraser Valley Today via email that it will open in Chilliwack this coming winter at 7670 Vedder Road near the northeast corner of Vedder and Luckakuck Way.

Gradinger did not have an official date or additional details, but urged Fraser Valley Today to check back later for more details.

Liana Wiebe, communications manager for the City of Chilliwack, told Fraser Valley Today via email that a building permit was issued on June 28, 2024 for the alteration and/or renovation to a commercial space for tenant improvements for Chipotle Mexican Grill inside the former Tim Hortons at 108-7670 Vedder Road.

A “leased” sign currently appears on the interior of the building. Further, the building itself is undergoing internal renovations with a City of Chilliwack building permit number of 035076.
