MISSION — Mounties in Mission are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who used forged documents to steal a package of gold bars from a Canada Post store in Mission.

According to a statement from police, Mounties say two gold bars were sent to the Canada Post outlet in Mission after a resident ordered them online from a virtual retail store. However, when the resident went to retrieve them from the Canada Post retail outlet, the female buyer learned the package had already been picked up.

Police say the suspect is a Black woman in her thirties, with shoulder-length hair, wearing a purple zip-up hoody, a white t-shirt and black pants. The suspect presented two pieces of fake ID, which showed the victim’s address on it, thereby enabling her to fraudulently retrieve the package. If you can help to identify this person, please contact the Mission RCMP detachment at 604-826-7161.
