Truck rollover leaves 1,400+ customers in Chilliwack without power

CHILLIWACK — The commercial big rig rollover that took out a BC Hydro pole on Prairie Central Road Tuesday morning has left over 1,400 customers in Eastern Hillsides and the surrounding area without power.

BC Hydro’s website containing power outage information shows 1,405 customers south of Chilliwack Central Road and east of Gibson Road lost power at 10:31 a.m. Tuesday morning, in connection with a truck that rolled over near 49073 Prairie Central Road.

BC Hydro estimates power will be possibly restored by 6 p.m. Crews are on site. BC Hydro’s website was last updated at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday.
