After 5 local events, Fraser Valley Muaythai Gladiators appears to shift future events away from Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — Fraser Valley Muaythai Series, which bills itself as a collection of competitive Muaythai events for all levels of athletic experience, may have hosted its last event in Chilliwack for the foreseeable future.

The athletic promoter announced Monday (July 29) on Facebook that Fraser Valley Muaythai Gladiators has found a new home following two years and five successful events in Chilliwack, and will now focus on the west end of the Fraser Valley.

Toward that end, Muaythai Gladiators 6 will be held Friday, October 11 at Cascades Casino in Langley.

“We are very happy to be showcasing the best amateur Muaythai athletes in BC and the Grand Ballroom in the Coast Hotel is the perfect place to continue the evolution of the Fraser Valley Muaythai Series,” Fraser Valley Muaythai Series wrote on Facebook. “We have already secured 3 dates for 2025!!”

The main event for Gladiators 6 will be a heavyweight title belt pitting Mitch D’Odorico against Edwin Dela Cruz to see who the “best big man in BC is.”

The athletic promoter says Gladiator 6 tickets will go on sale next week in the hopes of achieving a sellout event.

Muaythai Gladiators 5 was held July 17 in Chilliwack and featured multiple bouts amid sponsorship from local businesses like Mountainview Harley-Davidson, Southern Irrigation, Momentous Solutions, Kan-Arm Contracting, and Justin Ott Listings.

Traditional Muaythai School, affiliated with Fraser Valley Muaythai Series, is located at 2-7870 Enterprise Drive in Chilliwack.
