
IHIT identifies 58-year-old female homicide victim from Maple Ridge to further their investigation
MAPLE RIDGE — The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has identified the Maple Ridge woman who died last weekend as 58-year-old Christine Rogers, in order to advance their investigation.
Ridge Meadows RCMP members were dispatched Sunday, July 21 at about 2:30 p.m., for the report of an injured woman near 232 Street and 132 Avenue in Maple Ridge. Ridge Meadows RCMP front line officers attended the scene and discovered a woman suffering from serious injuries.
BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) and Maple Ridge Fire Department (MRFD) attended and performed life-saving measures; however, she succumbed to her injures. At approximately 3:25 p.m., the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene, about an hour after police were called to the scene.
IHIT investigators have identified the victim as 58-year-old Christine Rogers, from Maple Ridge. Police say she is being identified in an effort to advance the investigation and build a timeline of her activities leading up to the homicide.
