Mission RCMP investigating indecent exposure and assault incident

MISSION — Mission RCMP are investigating an incident of indecent exposure followed by a possible assault in the area of Lougheed Highway and Haig Street on July 2.

In the early afternoon, a woman reported to police that a man approached her near a gas station, exposed his genitals, and made a crude comment.

Shortly after the initial report, police received a call about a fight in the same area. When officers arrived, the altercation had ended. But witnesses provided accounts that suggested the man who had exposed himself earlier, might have been assaulted by a group of people.

Investigators are still piecing the sequence of events together to gain a full understanding of the incident. In the meantime, they’re asking anyone with information on the situation to contact Mission RCMP at 6064 826-7161
