MISSION — Mission RCMP have arrested three individuals following the theft of a steam roller from a property on Stave Lake Road. Security video revealed that on July 1, a man and a woman cut through a locked gate and entered the property. The theft occurred on the evening of July 3, when three offenders returned with a pickup truck and trailer to steal the steam roller.

Officers recognized all three as known property crime offenders. The owner of the steam roller later spotted the suspect’s truck parked along Lougheed Highway and alerted the police. One of the suspects, recently released from custody and wearing an electronic ankle monitor, had his movements tracked by police.

Investigators reviewed the location history of the suspect and identified an abandoned property in the Silverdale area. Upon investigation, officers discovered the stolen steam roller, a Nissan Pathfinder, and a Hewescraft aluminum boat previously reported stolen in February.

Charges of break and enter and theft have been recommended against a 43-year-old man, a 44-year-old man, and a 22-year-old woman, all from Mission. The stolen steam roller and other recovered items are being processed as evidence.
