Cottonwood Cinemas in Chilliwack to offer a choice of 5 free movies on Canada Day

CHILLIWACK — There aren’t many freebies out there these days, but one local movie theatre in Chilliwack is bucking the trend.

Cottonwood 4 Cinemas, located at 45380 Luckakuck Way in Chilliwack, will offer a choice of five free movies to the general public on Canada Day, according to their Facebook page.

The five movies consist of Migration (noon, 2:10 and 4:15), Unsung Hero (1:50 and 4:00), Kung Fu Panda (12:30, 2:40 and 4:45), Ghostbusters (12:15, 2:25 and 4:30) and Godzilla X Kong (noon).

Cottonwood 4 Cinemas makes it abundantly clear on its Facebook page that free admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 11 a.m., and residents are asked to come early. There are no rain checks, in other words, free admission is only on Canada Day.
