CHILLIWACK — A vehicle incident involving a rollover slowed westbound Highway 1 traffic Sunday afternoon east of Annis Road (exit 129) in Chilliwack.

Multiple Chilliwack Fire Department engines were dispatched to the 51100 block of Trans-Canada Highway near Rosedale after a vehicle incident involving a trailer crashed at approximately 12:35 p.m.

Fire crews from Hall 1 (Cheam Avenue Hall) and Engine 4-2 (South Sumas Hall) were initially dispatched as other firefighters were dealing with a fire at a medical building at 45625 Hodgins Avenue near Chilliwack General Hospital.

The highway was backed up for several kilometres Sunday afternoon before clearing sometime after 3 p.m.

Multiple pictures shared with Fraser Valley Today by a Chilliwack resident who wished to remain anonymous show the wreckage of a trailer and its personal effects off to the side of the highway.
