Chilliwack non-profit to hold spring BBQ, garage sale, and fundraiser Saturday

CHILLIWACK — The Compassionate Neighbourhood Health Partners Society (CNHPS) of Chilliwack, which provides support to local seniors and caregivers, will hold its spring fundraiser, garage sale and BBQ this Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Alliance Church, 8700 Young Road.

There’s something for everyone to appreciate this Saturday as organizers plan activities to raise funds to support the programs it offers seniors and caregivers of seniors in the Chilliwack community

Besides the garage sale, there will be coffee/tea with strudels, pastries, plants, used book tables as well as a BBQ lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers. Fresh, homemade baked goods will be available for sale while supplies last.

There will be animal balloons and a creative corner of fun things for kids, and an ice-cream truck on site.

All proceeds benefit CNHPS, a local charity that not only supports and connects seniors in Chilliwack, but also provides support to caregivers of older adults in Chilliwack. CNHPS facilitates activities and one-on-support for seniors who are unable to attend group events and functions.

CNHPS is a registered charitable society consisting of trained volunteers who provide a variety of support services for older adults in Chilliwack. All services are provided free of charge as it promotes the physical, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being of older adult neighbours living with advanced chronic conditions through neighbourhood activation.
