HOPE — Mounties in Hope say they’re investigating a brazen theft of a travel trailer from a home on Yale Road, west of town in the Floods area of Hope, earlier this week.

According to a statement Wednesday from Hope RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Mike Sargent, Mounties responded to a complaint about a stolen travel trailer from the 61000 block of Yale Road. Police say a white 2005 Keystone travel trailer was stolen from the property and has not been located.

The trailer was stolen between midnight and 5 a.m. Tuesday (June 4).

Fraser Valley Today reached out to the owner who confirmed that her stolen travel trailer matched a Facebook post in a Hope-area Facebook group. While there was no footage of the theft, the reported owner says the RCMP are keenly aware of the stolen trailer and “are all over it.”

Several Facebook users offered tips to the affected owner to help solve the crime, including one commenter who said there are multiple RVs parked in the bush between the exit for Ricky’s Restaurant and Flood Falls. Another Hope resident, in the same Facebook post, said her truck had been stolen in April 2024 and their business was broken into in January 2024, but police had not been able to catch the culprit(s).

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact the Hope RCMP at 604-869-7750 or, should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

The Hope RCMP file number is 2024-22599.
