Cottonwood 4 Cinemas offering free movie admission Thursday to mark its 15th anniversary

CHILLIWACK — Cottonwood Cinemas, the discount movie theatre on Luckakuck Way, says it is offering free admission to the movies today, Thursday, May 30 to mark its 15th anniversary.

According to a brief post on Facebook at 7 a.m. Thursday morning, the movie theatre invites Chilliwack residents to enjoy free movie admission.

There’s a catch, however. You have to show movie staff the Facebook post.

“Help Cottonwood 4 Cinemas celebrate our 15-year anniversary with free admission,” it said on Facebook. “Show this post on Thursday May 30, 2024 for any show and receive free admission. Only valid Thursday May 30, 2024.”

Today’s movies playing are Unsung Hero, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Civil War, Kung Fu Panda 4 3D, Boy Kills World, The King Tide, Dune: Part Two, and Wicked Little Letters.

It’s not the first time Cottonwood 4 Cinemas has given away free movie tickets/admission. In July 2023, the theatre offered free movies on Canada Day. The free afternoon movies on Canada Day included John Wick 4, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, Mummies, Dungeons & Dragons, Super Mario Bros., and Katak The Brave Beluga.
