CHILLIWACK — The BC NDP has confirmed the nomination of Dan Coulter as the party’s candidate in Chilliwack North for this fall’s provincial election, joining David Eby and 91 other party candidates.

In a news release today (May 25), Coulter alluded to Chilliwack’s rapid growth rate, expressing the need for “more housing, schools, transportation options and health care services.”

“Our BC NDP team is taking action to increase services and infrastructure and I will work tirelessly to make Chilliwack an even better place to raise your family,” said Coulter.

Premier David Eby also emphasized these necessities, stating Mr. Coulter is someone who understands the growing needs of Chilliwack residents.

“He (Coulter) has made improving housing, education, roads and health care his number one priority,” said Eby. “He will continue to be your advocate over the next four years and stand firm against John Rustad, the BC Conservatives and the threat of their deep cuts to the services we depend on.”

Dan Coulter was elected as a Chilliwack area MLA in 2020 and currently serves as the Minister of State for Infrastructure and Transit. He previously sat on the Chilliwack Board of Education, serving as a Chair at one point.
