CULTUS LAKE — Cultus Lake Park authorities are warning the public about a disturbing incident in which a young woman from Soowahlie First Nation was approached aggressively by a man who told her to get into his vehicle earlier this week sometime.

According to a Facebook post from Cultus Lake Park dated Thursday, May 23 at 4:16 p.m., the incident was reported earlier Thursday and occurred between Leavens Road and a marijuana dispensary on Columbia Valley Highway. It has already been reported to the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP.

Police have not issued a news release about the incident.

The exact time of the incident was not revealed in the social media post.

According to Cultus Lake Park Board staff, the man is described as being in his late 40’s to early 50’s, having short blond or grey hair, wearing a light blue golf shirt, and driving a 2-door, grey vehicle with a tan-coloured dash.

“Please use extra caution walking in the area,” the social media post stated. “Should you have any information related to the incident, please contact the RCMP non-emergency line at 604-792-4611 or dial 911 if you are in immediate danger.”
