City of Chilliwack to open 3 spray parks ahead of warm weekend forecast

CHILLIWACK — Just in time for a warm weekend where temperatures will approach the mid to upper 20s amid mostly sunny skies, the City of Chilliwack says it will open spray parks at three municipal parks for the summer season.

Those three spray parks are located at Central Community Park (45951 Victoria Avenue) in downtown Chilliwack, outside the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre (9145 Corbould Street), and on the premises of the Cheam Leisure Centre (45501 Market Way).

The Cheam Leisure Centre spray park has picnic tables and benches, a nearby playground, and washroom facilities inside the rec centre directly nearby.

The Chilliwack Landing Centre spray park features 16 above-ground features and 24 ground sprays, including the “Big Top Soaker” that captures water inside an oversized, translucent bucket containing 170 litres of water and then releases it onto participants below.
