Impaired driver suspected of causing head-on collision in Abbotsford
ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford Police say a motorist has been issued a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition for their alleged role in a head-on crash on Fraser Highway Monday night.
According to a statement from police, AbbyPD patrol officers were dispatched Monday night (Apr. 8) at about midnight to the scene of a reported head-on collision in the 29600 block of Fraser Highway in Abbotsford. Police say damage to both vehicles was substantial.
“Considering the damage to the two cars involved, it is a miracle that both drivers seemingly only sustained minor injuries,” AbbyPD said on social media.
Officers issued one driver a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition after police say they observed “obvious signs of impairment” suspected of having caused them to cross the center median and cause the crash.
