Chilliwack Chiefs open playoffs with OT win over Langley

CHILLIWACK — Brady Milburn’s goal at 4:01 over the first overtime period lifted the Chilliwack Chiefs to a 5 – 4 victory over the Langley Rivermen in the opening game of the BCHL playoffs Friday (Apr. 5) in Chilliwack.

The Chiefs were trailing Langley with four minutes left in regulation time until Mateo Mrsic evened the game and set up the extra period.

Willyam Gendron and Hunter McInnes led the Chiefs offence with a goal and an assist each. Matt Argentina also scored for Chilliwack who took a 1 – 0 lead in the best-of-seven series with the victory.

Vitaly Levyy led the Rivermen with two goals.
