LANGLEY — Langley RCMP have released more information surrounding the alleged abduction of a 3-month-old child by her mother in that community.
Mounties say 35-year-old Brianne Ford was at an address in the area of 72 Avenue and 208 Street in Langley Thursday (Apr. 5) afternoon. She fled with Tyler Durocher without permission in the afternoon. Police activated the Amber Alert at approximately 8 p.m.
Investigators have updated their description of Ford, saying she has only one side of her brown hair shaved with purple highlights. They say the last time she was seen, she was wearing a black leather jacket. However investigators can not confirm she was wearing the jacket at the time she allegedly took the child.
The Langley RCMP Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation and is actively talking with partner agencies to seek clues to the whereabouts of the mother and child. Police are canvassing the area, and following up on tips as they continue to pursue different avenues of investigation to safely secure the three-month old.
